[ 1. Introduction ]
Thank you for downloading the official "MTA:DayZ - Apocalypse" map!
This map is part of a big project which aims to bring the atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world to San Andreas. Please follow the instructions given in this ReadMe to ensure best gameplay of this map.

[ 2. Two versions of the map ]
There will - most likely - be two versions of this map: a public one, download- and useable by everyone,
and a donator version, which becomes available for those who paid a small fee. The money received from the donators will be used to pay for the mapping server. The two biggest advantages of the donator version of the public one is:

I. Updates become earlier available for the donator version
II. A donator-exclusive removal map - no lights in the houses, destroyed buildings + bridges, etc.

It is not clear as of yet when this donator map will be available. Note that you cannot use the removal map with the public version of the apocalypse map (incompatibility issues). Releasing the removal map is prohibited - by doing so, not only will you damage your reputation, there will also no more updates of the map then.

[ 3. Installation of the map ]
Map installation is quite easy - after unzipping the folder simply upload addon_DayZmap to the [DayZ-MTA] resource folder (located in .../mods/deathmatch/resources/[MTA-DayZ]).

Note that you have to stop the server before doing that! Start the server after finishing upload and the map should be loaded automatically.
The donator map is installed in a different way.

[ 3.1 Troubleshooting ]
If problems arise or a problem persists, please do not hesitate to contact one of the mappers on the official MTA:DayZ forum: www.community.vavegames.net
It is usually the best to open a new topic in "Troubleshooting". Please write the prefix [MAP] before the topic, so we see that you have problems with the map.
